Sky Bridge Picnic Area

The Sky Bridge Loop is a spectacular, short hiking experience where you can walk both atop and directly beneath a massive sandstone arch. The Sky Bridge Picnic Area serves as the primary trailhead, providing immediate access to the loop and nearby scenic overlooks. Just a quick drive down the road, you’ll find the Whistling Arch Trail, a gentle half-mile hike that leads to a beautiful, slender arch tucked away in the forest. The entire region is heavily wooded and offers plenty of shade, making it a perfect destination for a full day of trekking across the ridgelines. If you visit in the late spring or summer, keep an eye out for the vibrant wildflowers that line the trail edges, adding a burst of color to the rugged, towering cliffs!
