Brown County is a very well-known state park in Indiana. The park has many trails and places to explore, but in my opinion, the biggest attraction is its close proximity to the town of Nashville, Indiana. Nashville is a charming small town with a lot of history, plenty of things to do, unique shops, and the perfect place to spend a full day, or even an entire weekend, whether you stay in town or in one of the many nearby cabin rentals.

Our Trip Brown County State Park

This is our recommended parking spot. There are many other options, but this is the best spot to explore the top hiking trails.

We recommend using restrooms before starting activities, specially if you have kids.

Trail #7 goes all the way around Ogle Lake, and it’s a very beautiful place to visit. During the fall, this park gets very busy, and the lake is the best place for a walk.

This tower has two levels, and you can drive right up to the base. It offers a great view of the park.

Nashville, Indiana is a charming small town, and there are many things to do and plenty of places to visit. If you have the chance, rent a cabin and spend a weekend exploring the town and the park.
